  • QRIDA will contact you via telephone, email, SMS or post. If you are concerned about whether the contact you have received is genuine, please contact QRIDA on 1800 623 946 and ask to speak with your Portfolio Manager.

  • To change your direct debit details for your QRIDA loan, please complete the direct debit amendment form and the change will be processed by QRIDA.

  • No, if you cease to operate your business you will need to arrange for the repayment or refinance of your COVID-19 Job Support Loan. Please contact your Portfolio Manager on jobsupportloan@qrida.qld.gov.au to discuss your situation prior to making any decisions.

  • In the absence of photographic evidence you may still apply and provide quotes or tax invoices that can be identified as related to the Queensland Bushfires, September - December 2019. If further evidence is required, QRIDA will make contact to discuss your circumstances. Photographs taken using a smartphone are generally eligible. 

  • Yes, you may apply. QRIDA, at its absolute discretion, and without commitment, may consider issuing a conditional approval subject to you arranging your co-contribution to the amount required for the subject project(s), and such that this/these project(s) are commenced/completed within the allowed timeframes.

  • Yes. If eligible for the grant, you will be given conditional approval by QRIDA. This approval would be subject to you arranging your co-contribution to the equivalent amount.

  • To apply to be an Approved Adviser, the Land Restoration Fund Approved Adviser Certification course must be completed and a Certificate of Completion submitted with your application to QRIDA. 

  • Yes, you may be eligible for reimbursement of costs associated with purchasing and modifying a  WAT if  the new vehicle began providing a taxi service on or after 1 July 2019 and you meet one of the eligibility criteria.

  • If it has not been possible to grow horticultural crops because your water allocation has been temporarily traded you would not be eligible for a rebate on your water allocation charges.

    However, if you retained some allocation and grew horticultural crops you would be eligible for a rebate on both the water allocation charges retained and any water usage charges associated with horticulture production.

  • Yes. If you operate a primary production business under a single ABN on separate businesses in different locations, you can apply for assistance up to $75,000 for each eligible business.

    You will be required to submit evidence to verify the viability and autonomy of the separate businesses and submit an application form for each business, detailing the disaster damage sustained by that business.

  • You do not need to submit separate applications if your allocations are held under the same customer number.

  • Yes. You will need to provide evidence to demonstrate that you usually grow horticulture if announced allocations are sufficient to do so.

  • Yes. The application in the QRIDA portal will guide you on how to do this.

  • Yes. These grants are intended to help people rebuild their primary production business and allows for you to restock with another type or class of livestock (in full or in part) if you’d prefer.  You will be able to restock to a level equivalent to where your herd numbers were at prior to the disaster. For example, this may be switching from a breeder herd to a trade cattle operation or switching from cattle to sheep and/or goats or other livestock.

    Note: QRIDA works on the basis of one (1) Adult Equivalent cattle (450kg dry beast) equals eight (8) Dry Sheep Equivalent. For more information contact QRIDA on 1800 623 946.

  • No. Applicants are only eligible for the rebate if they have purchased an approved vessel tracking unit. Please refer to the full list of eligible unit models in Table 1 of the Fisheries Queensland Vessel Tracking Installation and Maintenance Standard. 

  • Only eligible vessel tracking units purchased between 1 June 2018 and 30 June 2027 can be claimed under this scheme.

  • To be eligible for an operator payment, you must be listed as the ultimate lessee in the TMR’s register. 

    If you have not notified TMR of the leasing arrangements, or if TMR's record of your lease was not up to date on 16 June 2020, contact your local Passenger Transport Office (PTO) to update the record of your leasing arrangements. 

    Any evidence you provide with your application regarding the circumstances of the lease will be reviewed before determining whether you are eligible for assistance. 

  • Fishers who have sustained direct damage to fishing equipment and vessels as a result of the disaster may be eligible for assistance. Assistance is not however available to compensate for loss of income due to inability to fish because of the event.

    If your business has not experienced direct damage, but has suffered a significant loss of income or other impacts as a result of the disaster event, you may be eligible to apply for a Disaster Assistance (Essential Working Capital) Loan.

  • You are not able to claim assistance for the use of your own equipment, for example dry hire or the cost of your own labour. 

    You may however claim for any additional labour or fuel, oil and other costs incurred in the use of this equipment. Fuel, machinery and operator costs incurred as a result of the eligible disaster can be detailed using the Fuel Calculator Schedule within the application form. 

  • Yes. Applicants have the right to a review of their eligibility decision and are required to respond in a formal appeal letter within 30 business days.

  • Yes, QRIDA’s online application form accommodates all categories of the scheme and you should submit only one application. The online form will guide you through the process of applying. 

    If however, the categories to which you are a party are in different names you should submit separate applications. 

  • No. If you cannot demonstrate the amount of water used specifically for horticultural crops you will be asked questions about the land areas under horticultural and non-horticultural crops. QRIDA will use this information and relevant Australian Bureau of Statistics irrigation water application rates to calculate your rebate. More information on the formula to make this calculation is available in the supplementary information.

  • No, only one grant is available per holder or lessee of a taxi service licence. 

  • No, you are unable to claim the same direct damage expenses under both the grant and loan scheme. However, if you are an eligible primary producer and your expenses have exceeded the amount of assistance available under the grants scheme, you can seek loan assistance for the expenses that were not covered by the grant.
