About the Land Restoration Fund’s Approved Adviser Program

The Approved Adviser Program is a network of qualified professionals who can help you to decide if carbon and other environmental market opportunities are right for their land and business.

Advisers complete LRF-specific training before being added to the Approved Adviser Directory. You can contact an adviser directly for help with:

  • the opportunities and implications of undertaking a carbon farming project
  • the underpinning regulatory framework and approved methods of generating carbon credits in Australia
  • the LRF and co-benefits
  • carbon and other environmental markets
  • evaluating the carbon and biodiversity potential of a property
  • accessing and interpreting site-specific information including:
    • land tenure restrictions and requirements
    • obligations for commitment of land in both area and time
    • application of potential methods
    • potential co-benefits
  • legal and financial considerations of undertaking a carbon farming project.

Carbon Farming Advice Scheme

The Carbon Farming Advice Scheme (CFAS) is currently closed. The Scheme offered financial assistance to farmers and other landholders to pay for expert advice from an Approved Adviser on the potential for carbon farming on their property.

Any future rounds of the Scheme or other opportunities available through the Queensland Government will be advertised via the LRF mailing list.
