Misty Neilson
Misty is an Ecologist with the Burnett Catchment Care Association, the longest serving Natural Resource Management organisation in the Burnett region, where she works closely with various bodies in the Environmental, Resource and Agricultural industries.
She is also a Board Director for Forever Wild (Global) delivering innovative financing mechanisms to support large-scale objectives by blending philanthropy with impact investment including the landmark CBA financial deal for Australia's agriculture sector and the domestic carbon market.
Her additional experience includes economic recovery programs for agricultural communities following natural disasters, agricultural strategies and regional audits and gap analysis, research, citizen science, conservation projects, Great Barrier Reef Community Action Plans, strategic assessments and project plans, natural capital and environmental accounting, financial accounting and business including owning and operation multiple businesses in community services and childcare sectors, community consultation and renewable energies.
Misty is also a licensed UAV Remote Pilot License up to 25kg with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and a member of the Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women's Network (QRRRWN).
