On 28 July 2026 the Minister for Primary Industries announced new Queensland drought declarations and the reinstatement of Drought Carry-on Finance Loans and Emergency Drought Assistance Loans for eligible Queensland primary producers. Full details of these loans will be available once administrative arrangements are finalised. Please monitor QRIDA’s website and social media channels for more information about when these loans will open to application and how to apply.

Applications for the Carbon Farming Advice Scheme closed on 17 March 2024.
The Carbon Farming Advice Scheme (CFAS) has now closed with all funding allocated.
Any future rounds of the Scheme or other opportunities available through the Queensland Government will be advertised via the Land Restoration Fund mailing list.

The Carbon Farming Advice Scheme was a Queensland Government initiative jointly delivered by the Land Restoration Fund and the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA).
The Scheme offered financial assistance to farmers and other landholders to pay for expert advice on the potential for carbon farming on their land.
