Farm Debt Restructure Office

QRIDA's new Farm Debt Restructure Office opened on 2 January 2018.

The Farm Debt Restructure Office (FDRO) assists primary producers experiencing financial distress by providing independent expert financial information and analysis of their farm business.

The Farm Business Analysis Assistance is intended to help producers make informed business decisions concerning the future of their primary production enterprise. The assistance does not replace producers existing financial services - it complements these services by offering an alternate opinion, or services above what producers can afford in their time of distress.

The Farm Business Analysis Assistance is aimed at primary producers who are open to a higher-level of analysis on their business and value in-depth ideas and options to repair, reduce or rationalise activities.

Applicants need to meet the eligibility criteria. It is recommended producers apply for this assistance with help from their financial planner or accountant. To achieve the best value from the assistance offered, applicants are required to be accessible and engaged in the process.
