Staff Experiences

“Every day I work with farmers throughout the region and community to develop their farms to long term sustainability, assist them to apply for funding to build their enterprises. I love sharing in clients’ journeys through the good and bad times, and assisting to provide solutions to their challenges.”Bill Fletcher, Regional Area Manager for the Burnett and Sunshine Coast.

“My internship with QRIDA was a perfect opportunity for me as it allowed me to combine both my University Degree and career aspirations with my upbringing and roots in rural Queensland. The internship complemented my studies in public policy and political science as I was able to apply theory to practice. Although challenging at times, the internship pushed me to learn new skills and broaden my knowledge in an encouraging and friendly work environment. The most exciting part of the internship was that I was able to make tangible change to communities and people by applying my knowledge and skills.  Looking back, I feel more prepared and confident to enter the workforce as a result of the internship” – Claire Putt, intern and now employee
