About us

The Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA) is a specialist provider of government financial assistance and advisory support to rural and regional Queensland.

For 25 years, QRIDA has been helping primary producers make a start in agriculture, improve long term sustainability and profitability, and overcome difficult conditions including recovering from natural disasters.

In that time, we have achieved many milestones including:

As the Queensland Government’s experts in rural finance, we also administer the State Government’s Farm Business Debt Mediation program, Farm Debt Restructure Office, conduct a biennial Rural Debt Survey, undertake research and provide advice to the Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries.

In 2019 we expanded our regional presence with the establishment of our eleventh (11th) office in Townsville in September and a new Regional Area Manager to better service that part of North Queensland. We’re also increasing our rural presence with more of our assessment staff are now based in the regions closer to our core primary producer’s clients and the regional communities we serve.

Drawing on our 25 years of concessional loans and grants administration experience, QRIDA continues to design and deliver a broad range of financial assistance programs on behalf of the Queensland and Australian Governments.

We’d like to acknowledge and thank our clients and we look forward to continuing our role in helping grow and support rural and regional Queensland in the years ahead.
