11 March 2016: QRAA: agriculture's helping hand

11 March 2016

QRAA is a trusted partner of Queensland agriculture. This support will be showcased when QRAA Chief Executive Officer Cameron MacMillan presents at the AgForce State Conference in Rockhampton.

The conference, being held from 18-19 March, will explore ways to increase the profitability of Queensland's agricultural industry through the themes of Profit, Product and Potential.

Mr MacMillan says he is honoured to join with other industry representatives to explore ways producers can increase productivity and enhance their growth potential.

“It is always a humbling experience to be amongst leaders who are striving to make a positive change for farming families,” Mr MacMillan said.

“Visiting Queensland regions and meeting the people who are the backbone of Australia’s food production is one of the things I enjoy most about my role at QRAA.

"I'm proud to lead an organisation that has the skills and expertise to help primary producers find more innovative and sustainable ways to improve their farming enterprises and meet their long term goals.”

QRAA offers a range of low interest loans, starting at 2.71 per cent, to help secure the future of farming families.

This financial year alone, QRAA has provided over $70 million in funds to producers to assist with drought recovery and preparedness, invest in infrastructure and new technology and recover from natural disasters.

QRAA Client Liaison Officer for Capricornia, Terry Snow will also be available at the conference to discuss the full range of assistance available and how to apply.
