Frequently Asked Questions – Approved Adviser Program under the Carbon Farming Advice Rebate Scheme

  1. As an Approved Adviser, will I receive remuneration from QRIDA?

    No – Under this program, there will be no payments made from QRIDA to the Approved Advisers. The only funds Approved Advisers may receive under the Carbon Farming Advice Rebate Program is payment by land holders who engage their services.

  2. I have not yet completed the required training, what do I do?

    To be eligible to provide eligible advice as an Approved Adviser, the Land Restoration Fund Knowledge Centre training must be completed. For more information and to complete the training, please go to Account Sign In.

  3. My application was declined, what can I do?

    If you would like to discuss an application or appeal a decision, you can call QRIDA on Freecall 1800 623 946 or email

  4. My situation has changed since being appointed as an Approved Adviser. What should I do?

    If there are any changes to your circumstances, you must contact QRIDA on Freecall 1800 623 946 or email as this may change your eligibility to be an Approved Adviser.

    Should QRIDA determine you no longer meet the eligibility for an Approved Adviser, you will be advised in writing where a decision has been taken to suspend of cancel approval. This letter will detail the reasons and justification which informed this decision.

  5. What are the insurance requirements for an Approved Adviser?

    Insurance minimums have been adjusted to accommodate small business / solo practitioners as the Approved Adviser program intended. Public liability ($10 million) and professional indemnity insurance ($2 million) to be held by a relevant professional organisation.
