Dr Stephen Wiedemann

Steve is an agricultural systems scientist with a focus on livestock systems and crop production, with particular expertise in GHG, supply chains, resource management, sustainability and environmental regulation. Steve has a strong track record in providing environmental research and services to Australian agricultural industries and primary processing. Steves technical work includes whole system analysis including life cycle assessment (LCA) and carbon/water footprinting, water, energy and GHG benchmarking, GHG emissions measurement and mitigation research, Development of Emission Reduction Fund (ERF) methods and Environmental Guidelines, nutrient and soil management research, manure management research, consulting in the area of nutrient management, waste management, carbon accounting and development approvals. Steve holds several scientific leadership roles chairing technical committees on behalf of Australian and international agricultural industries. He regularly works on projects covering a broad spectrum of target audiences, delivering peer reviewed scientific research through to farm presentations and extension materials, and has unique capabilities in communicating sound scientific principles in practical and understandable ways.

Steve currently oversees major projects for red meat, wool, cotton and grains assessing impacts from greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impacts from production supply chains, commissioned by MLA, CRDC, GRDC and AWI. Integrity Ag and Environment has strategic relationships with CSIRO where we collaborate on important industry projects such as reporting on the industry Carbon Neutral Initiative. Integrity Ag has collaborations with a number of universities pursuing joint research projects.
