Doug Mohr

To understand your property's carbon / natural capital project potential, a range of checks need to be undertaken to ensure you are not locked into a contract that does not deliver the returns you have been promised by project developers.

Doug is an independent sole trader with over 20 years of carbon project development experience and 30 years working in ecological assessment and management with Australia’s largest project developers and a range of clients including CSIRO, the QLD state government and private landholders. He can assist in running these checks to better understand the carbon and biodiversity returns your property has, as well as ensure it meets key eligibility criteria of carbon credit schemes and the Land Restoration Fund.

Doug has worked for some of Australia's largest carbon project developers, undertaking desktop and field-based assessments of properties for ERF project viability. This has included a range of reviews including methodology checks, carbon modelling and analysis of LRF co-benefits.

He is experienced in vegetation survey and management, ecological restoration, and undertaking targeted ecological field surveys for threatened flora and fauna species in accordance with existing methods and regulatory frameworks of both the Queensland and Australian Governments. Doug is currently undertaking a PhD, specialising in vegetation restoration and carbon sequestration. If you require initial screening of property, require a second opinion relating to ERF and Land Restoration Fund eligibility, or wish to develop an offset yourself, contact us so we can help you protect your investment and better understand potential project yields.
