Category B assistance has been activated for primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie and associated rainfall and flooding, 28 March - 6 April 2017. View the links below for information on available assistance.

Please note that primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations can only receive assistance under the Natural Disaster Assistance Scheme OR the Natural Disaster Assistance (Essential Working Capital) Scheme for an eligible disaster - not both.

Disaster Assistance

Primary producers directly affected by Wide Bay-Burnett Severe Storms may be eligible for low interest loans up to $250,000.Small businesses directly affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Nora and Associated Flooding, 24 – 29 March 2018 and North Queensland Flooding, 6 – 10 March 2018 may be eligible for low interest loans up to $250,000. Primary producers directly affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Nora and Associated Flooding 24 – 29 March 2018, North Queensland Flooding 6 – 10 March 2018, North and North West Queensland Low and Associated Rainfall and Flooding, 24 February – 8 March 2018, and Central Coast Queensland Severe Weather 16 - 19 October 2017 may be eligible for low interest loans up to $250,000. Primary producers and small businesses directly affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie and associated rainfall and flooding may be eligible for low interest loans up to $250,000. Non-profit organisations directly affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie and associated rainfall and flooding may be eligible for a loan and grant package up to $105,000.

Disaster Assistance (Essential Working Capital) Loans Scheme

Primary producers which have suffered a significant loss of income as a result of Central Queensland rainfall and associated flooding, October 2017 may be eligible for low interest loans up to $100,000.Small businesses who have suffered a significant loss of income as a result of Severe Tropical Cyclone Nora and Associated Flooding, 24 – 29 March 2018 and North Queensland Flooding, 6 – 10 March 2018 may be eligible for low interest loans up to $100,000. Primary producers who have suffered a significant loss of income as a result of Severe Tropical Cyclone Nora and Associated Flooding 24 – 29 March 2018, North Queensland Flooding 6 – 10 March 2018, North and North West Queensland Low and Associated Rainfall and Flooding, 24 February – 8 March 2018, and Central Coast Queensland Severe Weather 16 - 19 October 2017 may be eligible for low interest loans up to $100,000. Primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations which have suffered a significant loss of income as a result of Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie and associated rainfall and flooding (such as through loss of electricity, water or road access for extended periods) may be eligible for low interest loans up to $100,000.
