White Spot Disease Concessional Loans

White Spot Disease Concessional Loans up to $3,000,000 are now available to prawn farming enterprises located in the Logan River or Albert River catchments directly affected by White Spot Disease to help these enterprises recover for the impact of the disease.

Examples of eligible activities include:

  • Improving biosecurity controls such as purchasing bird nets, access restrictions, fencing, solid waste treatment, water treatment
  • Diversifying prawn farming such as purchasing infrastructure necessary for farming a marine species other than prawns
  • Improving productivity and viability

How to apply

When applying for a White Spot Disease Concessional Loan, you will need to complete an application form and submit to the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA) along with the documents stated on the application form including your management plan. Please note that loans are subject to the availability of funding and applications will not enter the assessment queue until all information and supporting documents have been provided, regardless of any finance dates in place. QRIDA requires at least 10 business days to convey a decision following receipt of all required documents.

Joint lending with your bank

QRIDA will consider joint lending options with your bank or other commercial lenders. If you require more than $3,000,000 or partial funding from QRIDA for a specific project or activity, please discuss your options with us.
